Who we are

The Care Insider Training (“we,” “us”) is an online compliance-training platform for care providers, operated by The Care Insider, based in Maryland. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we handle it.

What we collect

  • Account information — your name, email address, and, for facility accounts, your facility or organization name.
  • Training records — course enrollments, lesson progress, quiz results, completions, due dates, and the certificates we issue. This is the core of the service: it is how we prove training happened.
  • Billing information — payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers; we keep records of your plan, seats, and payment status.
  • Messages and downloads — if you request a free resource or contact us, we keep your email and message.
  • Technical basics — standard server logs and privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (no advertising trackers).

How we use it

  • To provide training, grade quizzes, issue and verify certificates.
  • To give facility administrators compliance reporting on the staff they enroll.
  • To send service emails — welcome, completion, certificate, and training-due reminders.
  • To process billing and prevent abuse of the service.
  • To meet our own legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

If your facility enrolled you

When a facility purchases seats and assigns you training, your training records (progress, completions, certificates, due dates) are visible to your facility’s administrators. That visibility is the purpose of the product — it is how your employer documents required training for regulators.

Who processes data for us

We use a small set of service providers to run the platform: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), and Resend (transactional email). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

How long we keep it

Training and certificate records are compliance records — we retain them so they can be verified later (for example, during a survey). Account information is kept while your account is active. You may request deletion of your personal data; we will honor it except where a facility has a legitimate need to retain its compliance records or where the law requires retention.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by role (learners see their own records; facility admins see only their facility), and payment details are handled entirely by Stripe.

Your choices

You can access and update your account information from your dashboard, and you can contact us to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. This service is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18.
